Finding a Path for the Cure for Dementia

An independent report into an integrated approach to dementia research. Dementia is a disease that robs millions of people around the globe of their right to grow old with dignity. It is currently estimated that 47.5 million people worldwide suffer from dementia (WHO, 2015). It devastates the lives of both patients and their care givers and families. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that the global cost of dementia care in 2010 was US$604 billion – 1.0per cent of global GDP.
