Kim van de Ven received a MSc-degree biomedical engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology in 2007. Subsequently she worked as a MR researcher on the subject of Arterial Spin Labeling at the University Utrecht Medical Centre. From January 2008 to December 2012 she worked at the department of Radiology at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre on her PhD project. She studied the effect of hypoglycemia on cerebral glucose metabolism in healthy subjects and patients with diabetes mellitus using 13C magnetic resonance spectroscopy in combination with infusions of 13C-labeled glucose. In January 2012 she started working as MR Clinical Scientist Neuroimaging. Currently she is responsible for the development of the clinical opportunity map and collaboration with research sites on topics related to neuroimaging.
