Alberto Biancardi earned his degree in Mathematics and his PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Pavia. He has been a Post-Doc Visitor at University of Paris XI, Assistant Professor at the University of Pavia (Italy) and then a Visitor and Research Associate at Cornell University (USA). His activity started with the development of interactive computer vision environments for custom architectures as well as study of debris-flow by high-speed cameras. After moving at Cornell, he has been a developer for projects related to lung cancer screening (I-ELCAP), lung tumour CAD (LIDC/IDRI) and the assessment of tumour growth. Since joining CISTIB, he is involved in the development of VPH-DARE research platform and the delivery of the clinical tool for MySpine.
