Liesbeth Geerts received a MSc-degree with honors in biomechanical engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology. In June 2002 she defended her PhD-thesis entitled: “Cardiac myofiber orientation in response to changed mechanics” at the same institution and obtained her PhD degree. In may 2002 she started to work for Philips Healthcare in Best as an MR applications specialist for cardiovascular applications. June 2006 she became the MR clinical scientist for vascular imaging. In this role she was the Philips MR representative in the High Risk Plaque consortium, an international public private initiative on vulnerable plaque assessment. Currently, Liesbeth works as senior Clinical Scientist for Neurosciences. In this role she is responsible for the development of the clinical opportunity map and collaboration with research sites on topics related to Neurosciences.
